World between paint and imagination
Costa da Morte
In October 2011 Rob van Doeselaar painted a special series of 6 works inspired by the Costa da Morte in Galicia, Spain in which the dramatic changing light is an important element.
He was invited by Eduarte to work in the host studio of the FondaciònTorre-Pujales in the village of Corme Porto.
The series of paintings will be shown at Galeria Dasto in Oviedo and a few months later at La Galeria de Guadalajara, in Spain.

After graduating from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Rob Doeselaar lived and worked in several countries such as India, the United States, Senegal, Ghana and Mali. Currently he has a studio in The Hague.

In his paintings Rob Doeselaar reacts to his environment and what he experiences. Each country brings a new perspective and new themes. He searches for a balance between paint and imagination, craftsmanship and experiment, between decoration and stratification, between chance and rational choices.
A unique use of color and composition always remains a dominant factor.
